Why does iOS have a "report junk" option for opening messages from unknown numbers but Messages on MacOS does not?

Still, they keep all the other features in sync across the OSes, I'm curious why this one never makes the cut.

I might know this? At least a guess? If they are automatically forwarding the messages to the FTC spam report service for you it requires a regular cellular connection not just an iMessage data link

Similarly, why has Apple never added a “report junk” option for push notifications?

They finally have fixed that discrepancy in the just released Sequoia 15.4. Yeah, super annoying that it took that long.

But you still only get the option when you delete the conversation. Doesn't show up in the main window as a tappable link like on iOS.
