Very cool! This anatomical distribution looks very similar to the subregion of the BLA we find to be activated by stressful and aversive stimuli so that’s nice to see convergence.

Neat! I will say that these neurons are biased (but not exclusive) to the anterior BLA (as previously reported) - we have confirmed with this both Cre line and RNA Scope. Should have a cool story about them to share soon(ish)!

Yes, we refer to it more as medial basal amygdala but it basically overlaps with what Tonegawa and others call anterior BLA, and visually looks to be pretty much the same localization. We should use this Cre line to look at stress responsiveness in these cells too.
