What made you decide to join BlueSky?
Did you sign up before it became more popular, and if so, what drew you to it back then?

Do you enjoy it?
Yet another existential crisis. Sooooo pleased to be on Bluesky.
I was never active on Twitter or Threads, so I am still figuring things out.
I can deal with that abuse, but it's pushed on to others, & I don't like that.
I’m here for the lack of censorship around erotic art. And tbh this reminds me of the early days of social media.
The other sight is owned by a maniacal man whom is first buddy to 45. If you knew history you'd know that communications between media and people was the first thing to be taken from you. Along with all the rest of the radios that people owned. They were VERBOTEN!
Musk = danger
And choose your own place in the world
I didn't like how Facebook and Twitter were promoting and pushing social chaos. I joined a few places that didn't pan out and suddenly remembered I still had an account here. Yay :)
No n@z!s (well it was nice while it lasted… but they’re getting nuked fast.)
Backup for that site which shall not be named.
Was here when it was invite only.
Features like PUBG for the younger generation should also be added.
To escape 'trends'.
To stop having to have an opinion on everything.
I burnt over 100,000 followers to reach this peace. None of them liked me, though.
User controlled information stream over cooporate greed, any day.
So I tried it and moved.
Love it but it’s so friendly I forget to do the writing and spend my time just reading.
Thank you
Don Tvlman
First post last year. I was tired of Musk, porn bots and ads. It was mainly cat posts and journos then.
Came back just before the US election.
As a pragmatic centrist, good to be slammed by leftist conviction people just as I was by the other side on the other place.
i never used twitter, but i thought bluesky would be a good place to post random stuff
it is.
I've also stopped watching all news on television
My son actually worked for Twitter 2014-16
Threads is ok, but it isn’t an answer
Insta is an advertisement platformto make people aware, to discuss it on threads or blue sky.
No ads, no weird algorithms!
It's super unaddictive.
✌🏿🆓DOM🗽⚖️😆🇺🇸🌅
I'm still on twitter, but some of the activity here is fun, so I've engaged
Mastodon didn’t work out.
Threads was throttled and filled with engagement bait posts. But the moment the election was over and it was apparent that the oligarchs manufactured the win, I left and came here. Dedicated to us vs them.
Heard about for awhile now, but only made an account over a month ago when more and more people got in, and heard it is the Twitter of old and filled with like minded people.
That's when I signed up ...i was a early adopter on Twitter in 2009...and now I can't wait to delete all of my X accounts
About as exciting as a pool of cold sick
I'm staying with Twitter/X.
Where at least people say things.....
Instead of touting rot about "standing with Tony Benn": which was 50+ years ago - a v different case - before v different people misled & exploited a Brexit Wreck-&-Loot UnProject.
You're the sort who'd bawl OUT! OUT! OUT! over any cliff, guffawed at by the Johnsons & Farages onland.
I just got here, a couple of weeks ago.
The second is because of the presence of Mona #Cholet, a great French writer, a great Lady + many other similar reasons.
Right now, Bluesky seems to be the most likely to make that happen. But who knows.
It's been a slow burn but "the vibe" is right.
U actually have meaningful exchanges. As in ones where both parties apply thought.
Quality not quantity.
Haven't yet closed my X acc. though, because I like to know what's going on over on the "hell-site" 👀 .
