Reversing winter fuel would have bought 35% of disillusioned Labour voters back. Instead they went for the 18% who cited immigration. Meanwhile haemorrhaging support to the Lib Dems and Green. It’s hard not to draw the conclusion they’re just ideologically xenophobic.
