Please also take into consideration that there is a lot of fear of martial law. If martial law is declared in response to protests, there's a very good chance that it will launch us fully and completely into a dictatorship or civil war. People are trying to tread lightly (but carry a big stick)

If we don't protest now, we may lose the right anyway. We can't act like we're already under martial law.

I have noticed a lot more older white women at these protests, which police are not as likely to get physical with.

I’m an old white lady. I’d be front and center. I don’t have much to lose except my job. Unfortunately I’m going to have to keep working until I die since there won’t be SS or affordable health insurance. If I get arrested I lose my insurance license.

how can gen x women begin to support each other so we are able to use the power of “old white woman” … we are going to have to be willing to lose security in order to gain real democracy- but again, this is new territory for many of us … we were in diapers during Vietnam and Watergate …

Hang with the white boomer women, we protested the Vietnam War, fought for civil rights, equality, women’s rights, choice. Remember, a whole lot of women couldn’t have a credit card or bank account in their own names without permission from father or husband until 1974
