I think it's time I take another break from Celeste. I adore this game, but tbh, I haven't felt a lot of joy with it lately. Vanilla speedrunning gave me bad mental, and modded gameplay is a difficulty minefield with the added bonus of problematic creative networks. I'm ready to try something new. - ThreadSky

Even playing a not-a-professional-streamer amount of a videogame and not engaging with the community it's entirely fair and reasonable to need breaks. Add in both those factors and you've way more than earned one.

Honestly fair. This community is incredible but sometimes I feel like if I step anywhere near celeste-modded or Parrot's discord/stream it'll make me sick. I love the game though, and I feel like I shouldn't owe the community anything when I play it or interact with it.

More than anything, I need to step away from a community that's been growing increasingly...uncomfortable.

I saw a Celeste streamer joke about beating their hypothetical children. Two maps from a recent contest used sexual diseases as jokes or as "colorful language."

It's just not a space for me.

The latest saga regarding map edits I think finally did me in, mostly because I'm just tired!!

I just wanna play a fun platforming video game. I'm tired of discourse about: difficulty ranks, validating achievements, puzzle maps, or even how to GET INTO playing Celeste!
