In regards to Valheim I’ve been giving it some thought and realised something, I’m making the same mistake I always make. I like to have a main home base in meadows near the spawn and to make smaller outposts in new zones

Usually I’ll try to find some ruins in new biomes and sort of build onto them

Aye same, I went exploring on my main save with all my best gear, ended up in a bit of a snag so decided to sail around the landmass and hesd back home, little did I realise it was a giant mass of land and took me into the deep south where the cold killed me, so started over.

Yeah that's how I play Valheim. I do have a main Meadows base but, tbh, I found that it was easier to build satellite bases as I travel around the world and then a new, decent sized base once I'm established in a new zone. I then link them via Portals if I need to.

Aye I was initially doing that with outposts in my last world, I think instead of trying to prep and catch up to where I left off so I can come back to streaming it I’ll just go fresh with this new world as I really like it.
