I suspect most people in the market for an X are not that price sensitive (and earn too much to qualify for the tax credit) Tesla knows it will be a tough quarter so they are trying to boost profits where they can

There is this narrative that tesla sales in europe are down due to retooling for new models.

Both the brand sentiment and the Model Y supply issues have an impact. Model 3 sales in Europe are also down which does not have any supply issues but Model Y is down by a bigger percentage.

Generally speaking, I expect Tesla's global deliveries to be down this year again.

Elon previously mentioned 20-30% growth, but since he didn’t repeat this in the last earnings call, it’s no longer considered a target but Tesla said, "We expect the vehicle business to return to growth in 2025." With 1,789,226 deliveries in 2024, I interpret this to mean Tesla’s target is 1,790,000
