I'd say Beto completely blew his chances of anything ever in Texas, with his stupid presidential campaign and its platform...except this will be a 2026 midterm race in a year Dems will swamp, I think, and possibly against true criminal lunatic Ken Paxton, who's challenging Cornyn in the primary...

Numbers wise no Dem is due to "win" Texas till 2028 or 2030.
But he gets more votes than any other D on the ballot and gets a down ballot effect.
Florida lost the G. race in 2022 by 20% in the red wave.

BO 595,653 54% (vs. Abbott + $145M)
The D's don't have the luxury of risking incumbent seats.
I would hope that somebody with some name recognition & has no seat to lose would compliment for Guv. (No idea).
