I like a lot of you but would like it if many of you would learn to acknowledge that you live in a specific bubble and thus have no transparency on whether some things will be enjoyed/do well with audiences that are not you.

We always had slop movies when we were young but to see one that looks this awful do this well? It's not surprising, I know what a cultural phenomenon Minecraft is, but it's still kinda disappointing, I guess
Were any of them this vapid as pieces of filmmaking?
The kids obsessed with the game dragged their parents to see it and gave it a comparable opening weekend to something like Inside Out 2, but is it gonna have the same legs? Idk. Maybe? A B+ CinemaScore isn't great for a film like this.

Minecraft is enormous, one of the biggest IPs out there yet it's barely talked about in our circles so people figured it would fail for "looking bad"
