Cairo’s metro was the busiest on the planet on a per km basis. It’s almost certainly still up there. LA is not that at all.

The car-orientation of Cairo’s built environment is only skin-deep…it has nowhere near as much parking, road capacity, or low-density development as LA. With a little bit of street redesigning it would be just like Europe.
