Yeah....and she learned that during the course of the show. Eventually, she grew to love and respect her nurses, and they loved and respected her in turn. It's called growth. It's what occurs when you're up to your knees in blood in a war zone.

She was respected for being a good nurse. There's a difference. I've worked in medicine for 35yrs. There are plenty of shitty people who are still good staff.
They only acted nicer to do the right thing. The character was still a horrible person.
You can't be a dick/bitch to staff & then be friends.
