It is Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, Alabama. They closed the old road (built by the CCC in the '30s) and turned it into a "trail".

I walk this trail (and photograph the sunrise) virtually every day. You can look at my pictures of it on Flickr. It's free.

Well I hate to tell you, but she's on a rampage tonight. :) We're sitting here glued to the weather radar. One just went about 1/2 mile south of the park. The radar went from red to purple to black in about 2 minutes. I didn't even know there was a black level. 😳
