I rode this last week, and it's great! I did have a very hard time turning left from Fruitvale onto E 7th (to head toward Embarcadero) though. From the plans looks like no x-walk going in there?

PG&E’s delayed utility pole relocations, which have been annoying many of the Fruitvale facility users so far, are set to finally be completed within the next month or so.

The East Bay Greenway segment from 66th Ave to Seminary is also rideable, with construction continuing in 2025. A county project will follow, extending the facility to 54th Ave.

The 7th/E 8th Street (Fallon to 5th Ave) paving is complete, & concrete islands to form a parking protected bikeway are being added quickly. Removal of the 5th Ave slip turn lane was unfortunately beyond the paving budget, but we’ll get to it eventually.

The 14th St protected bikeway (Oak/Lakeside to 980) is progressing slow but steadily, including five protected intersections, bus islands w seating/shelters, & a new bike counter kiosk. Segments of it are rideable but not all.

The 20th Street protected bikeway (Harrison to Broadway) doesn’t look like much yet, but the sidewalk widening and intersection narrowing outside the Kaiser Center are coming along. Keep an eye on this for progress in 2025.

Lots of concrete is being poured for the Harrison Street protected bikeway extension, Lakeside to 27th/Bay Place, also including bus islands & crosswalk upgrades.

I didn’t get a chance to check progress on the San Leandro Creek Trail extension from Hegenberger past 98th Ave. Also in the next few months look for protected bikeway construction on Lakeshore (E 18th to El Embarcadero), 10th St (Madison to Jackson) Grand (Harrison to Bay Pl), & Doolittle Dr.
