Your new and old stuff look decently stylistic and the color pallet looks somewhat solid. There's plenty of lighting contrast, which is good.

It kind of sort of looks like your new pieces are rusty, but I don't believe it's as bad as you think. If you're concerned, try warm-up exercises.
