he's running the DOOM mod that replaces all the weapons with doom guy's hand doing a petting animation and all the enemies with little 3-frame rabbit sprites
Duuuuude….
You seriously draw some of the BEST Vintage art I’ve ever seen. 💕
You ALWAYS NAIL the Mid-Century aesthetic and your colors and designs are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL as always! 😭
Thank you for drawing and sharing all these~
I honestly LOVE seeing your stuff every time!
I thought this was being posted by one of the retro accounts I follow! I think I could learn Cobol. Languages now do so much that they are sooooo wordy and look like spell incantations. When I learned C++ for DOS or BASIC it was more like working with simple rune stones.
if I were to actually run this program alongside a JCL script yeah, the input would require the ENVIRONMENT DIVISION parameter, but I'm not shit posting THAT hard
I cannot stress enough how much Discopawbs' work influenced Hyde's backstory/worldbuilding - This picture in particular was legit what spun out into the entire "spellcasting as a programming language" system, HexAL
Half way through a COBOL lecture at University the lecturer paused for breath. A voice piped up from the back "And the the dinosaurs died". Basically end of lecture.
I did Fortran in 1981 in high school- we coded onto sheets and sent the sheets to the district office to be put on punch cards, then we had to proof all the cards. Send back the errors to get fixed- Send to run, fix errors- I think I got an A in the class by getting one program to run successfully
I did not have to use punchcards, we had labs filled with serial terminals connected to VAX and PDP-11 machines.
My father was going back to college after a 20 year career in the army getting a degree in business admin and he had to take COBOL at the
same time. He was using punch cards.
Believe it or dont,
i still teach Cobol at my office, where the HUGE IBM mainframes controlling the HUGE data flow of the corp, still rely on Bunny Language!
Im gonna hafta put this in my powerpoint...🐰😘
WHoa no.
Taint virtual!
They dont call it Big Iron for nuttin!
Acourse, i cant get close to it anymore these days.
Sumpthin about Programming it and Running it is a conflictication or whatever...
I had a friend who worked at IBM in ye olde tymes and his primary languages were FORTRAN and COBOL iirc. He was a real character definitely a rabbit in a past life
Back during Y2K, for a couple of years, COBOL programmers made big bucks. There is supposedly still a lot of COBOL code running on virtual legacy machines.

(She will not, however, be able to understand it)
It's really a horror story that Stephen King would be proud of.
(I'm a retired programmer, if you can't tell)

It is called "set COBOL to COBOL plus 1".
He looks like he would sell me a top notch computer!
Sign me up! ;)
