I gave it a valiant effort of looking at sites exploding and assuming I'll have a better chance of being struck by lightning 200 times
Ah well, I'll have one eventually if not on release. The big money scare has me actually checking out games I already own at least.
Oh yeah, my world isn't going to end if I gotta wait a bit. I can wait.
The thing is I am a mario kart sicko. My friends in college 10÷ years ago stopped playing various mario karts because I was "too good" (their words). A lack of mario kart with the homies only makes me sad.
It is a very funny story because I knew I wasn't that good. Playing mario kart with peeps online has taught me a lot. One of my roommates did keep playing with me, learned a lot, and she eventually got banned too. Everyone else just had to give it more time.
School is stressful and someone finishing a race with enough time to grab seconds from the kitchen and get back before all 7 or 11 others finish deals damage to your morale. I think on a long enough timeline more people would have gotten banned from mk and we could have started a second group.
That, unfortunately, makes sense. It's unfortunate to feel like you ruined a vibe because you really enjoyed something more than others.
My friend once said "it's lonely at the top," and that resonates with me so much when I think about situations like this (even if you're not TRULY "the top").
I usually wait for a while on consoles until there's enough games in the library to make the purchase with it. There's the scare about the prices for this one continuing to go up but I think I'm gonna stick fast to my guns.
Plus, the download key carts give me A Concern about ownership and whatnot.
My pro strat: not doing anything at all and instead doing a retro achievement set while lonely struggled to find a place to get it. It worked out in the end and I have another badge on my RA and a switch 2

But I wanna play mario kart :(
Like... two generations of consoles later you could probably still play the same MArio Kart but upgraded lmao

I've been considering a Steam Deck to use on the couch and take places instead. I play most my games on PC anyways.

The Walmart skirmish was late, leaving troops scrambling their resources into other efforts.
Warriors lament the possibility of an elongated tussle at GameStop at 1100 hours local.
Wario64 at the front providing directions to each squadron.
*Flash cut to Jewker looking at RA.* "Oh! Hello! I didn't notice you there! I'm currently in the process of getting a Switch 2."
That said, as a result, I've been eyeballing the Steam Deck more lately.
