Because of how long goods are on the water, the full effect may take 2-3 months to fully materialize. Of course might be some wiggle room because once it gets to the port, you then need to transport goods by truck and by train to their final destination. June will be wild.

This is why I reject the market manipulation arguments. The shattering of supply chains is going to do lasting damage to the US economy... which torpedoes "buy the dip" as a strategy. If that was the plan, it was a terrible one.
