The director of my youth theatre was one of the scariest people I ever met. We did not fuck with her. She demanded perfection. We had no choice but to deliver. She got thanked in an Olivier award speech once. I'd known her for YEARS when I found out we were the same height. 5ft3. Force of nature.

Then there are those who you'd swear are lot shorter than they are.

There's a guy who's legally listed as 6' 3" & 218 lbs but I'd swear he's 5' 11" & 270+ lbs--and I'm really good at estimating this. It's was a part of my job when I worked mostly with mentally ill people in the legal system.
