Less Dying Earth (and more Online which may or may not ruin them for you) but similar vibes in The Locked Tomb and The Archive Undying. Also everyone should read The Etched City; Rats and Gargoyles stumbles but is definitely worth reading.

Locked Tomb I gave up halfway through book 1. Not for me. The tone was like snorting crushed glass.
