That said, I fully maintain that the first two thirds of Gordian Knot have seeds of something fascinating in them, only to be ruined by the final third.
I think Yair Weinstock got into business earlier, but he's of course playing of the genre
Gordian Knot came out 5 years before Dan Brown's first book, from a quick look
