With apologies to wint, I have to hand it to Trump - as dumb as he is, he knows from his entire life in New York City, that professional elites, at their core, are a bunch of pathetic PABs who will never put their wealth & comfort at risk.
Lawyers have a duty to the rule of law. And they are willing to fold so quickly for what; due to a bit of financial pain. Did they think they could uphold the rule of law against Trump at zero cost. Some are paying bigger costs (being taken off the street).
BLOG: Land of the Free? Home of the BRAVE??? Tens of thousands of ordinary US govt workers ALREADY do fascist work for Trump. They're identical to the tens of thousands of ordinary Germans, who carried out the dirty work for the Nazis in Germany in the 30s and 40s. https://www.jandehn.com/post/submit-fight-or-flight
The wording the law firms use is important. If you think about it, it allows them to control the narrative AND not lose clients. Alot of the countries are doing the same thing. Trump is so ignorant it flies right over his head.
This so beyond depressing. If your career, passion, & company value is literally based on protecting the Rule Law, WTDF? Grow a pair. Trust the RULE OF LAW & the Constitution. If big law firms capitulate, what does it say to the average citizen?
What this says about wall street lawyers: Will spend years working their ass off get into Yale law school, then into the top 5% of their law school class, so they can get a Big Law job, and the only care about is their fees and their revenue share. "Hey, I represent people I hate all the time!"
Long term success begins with long term principles. If you only do the right thing when you are paid enough money, you will weaken public perceptions of your company/country, thus, in time, weaken trust. It takes a long time to build a brand, but surprisingly little time to destroy one.
Call the law offices and tell them we will support them. Beg them to fight. Tell them how important it is that those who can’t fight to fight. https://www.wilmerhale.com

Maybe it's time to think long and hard about the quality of grads coming out of the Ivy League.
They can be impartial or they should fear future consequences
Who knew? 😆
He’s making them bow,
He’s playing King now-ow-ow-ow.

Someone needs to teach these law firms about game theory
So… ya know… no dilemma.
