I know. I was too old to watch when they came out, but I know them well because of my kids. Schoolhouse Rock was a favorite. Even now I find myself humming parts of Conjunction Junction, and Lolly, Lolly, Lolly Get Your Adverbs Here, etc. Those shows were the best. America is growing dark now.

Ditto, as well as Mr. Dressup and Sesame Street. Then, as I got older, I was sucked in by movies that highlighted the camaraderie of the world as we banded together to fight alien invasions. Covid taught us otherwise. Yes, there has been a lot of heartbreak in the past 8 years.

I’m grateful too - & I insist that they haven’t shattered that world. They’re assaulting it, jealous of it, afraid of it - but it’s not dead OR gone. This is our time to insist on the world we want-like in the civil rights movement, the Jim Crow era, WWII-it’s been worse. It’s been done before.

I’m 82. Since Trump took office, I’ve seen the erosion of decency & civility by his supporters for 8 years.
