3 white guys talking on a podcast about what time on the clock of the world the U.S. is currently in re: "authoritarianism" and this is never not funny to me. So much of US political discourse is white people talking to other white people about what white people think of politics and the country.

Like maybe these guys can shut up and ask someone not white for an explanation instead of fabricating one based on their naive view of the world from the top of it.
In the middle of it, Klein nearly verbatim said he believed the words you posted.
The majority of those folks only intend to chatter and perhaps inform (though analysis quality may wildly vary), but (almost) never to lead. If they were, then they would be performing deeds not massaging words.
