To anyone thinking Romanians are the kind of people that will gently go into that dark night and to whatever Romanian needs reminding, here's the story of one of our heroes, back from when Russia last ruled over us. 🧵

Are you talking about young people or older ones? And are those opinions shared on the internet, or IRL?
In my experience, the main "enthusiastic and openly pro" camp seems to be redpillers/Tate fanboys. which isn't really a huge demographic.
I'm seeing the most simple minded bitches over 60 reposting stuff from Tik Tok slandering the other candidate. They're REALLY poorly made videos of "freaks" and the text is saying she supports this. It worked with MAGA...
"They took everything and everyone from me. My son-in-law and brother-in-law, all went to jail because I provided food to the partisans (resistance fighters). People would bring me food secretly to give them.
Last time, a captain came with a rubber baton. 'Speak!' I didn't. 'We'll give you 300 lei!' 'Sir! Captain, I am not Judas, to sell them for 30 silver coins!' He threw me to the ground, tied me up and beat me with the rubber baton, from head to heel. But I didn't take his money and I didn't speak!
Then, they tied me up and put me on a chair, from the chair to the table, from the table to another chair. He threw my headscarf off. 'Speak!' I was wearing a braid with a ribbon. They threw my jacket away, and I remained in my blouse. They tied my hair under the hook of the chandelier..
The braid was thick. I was different when I was 39. He pulled my chair. The other pulled the table. My braid remained on the hook, and I fell to the ground. That's how they tore out my hair. It never grew back. But still, I didn't betray them!
Had I spoken, they would have killed half the village! After they pulled the table from under my feet, they started beating me until I bled. They broke my ribs, and I fainted. I was making the sign of the cross with my tongue in the roof of my mouth, praying to God to help me not to say anything."
Elizabeta Rizea will go on to spend 12 years in prison. She will survive it, will survive the torture, will survive the communist regime. She will pass away in 2008 at the age of 91. She never betrayed the partisans.
