successive governments should be directly assaulting this, but the problem’s cultural too. this country sees £50k for HEAD OF CYBER SECURITY AT THE TREASURY as normal. say it's absurd and you’ll hear “that’s a good wage.” we’re stuck. too polite, or too success-averse, to say we deserve more.

always hear that uk groceries are cheap... but it doesn’t matter when housing, bills, etc. drain your pay. wages are so flat that breathing room doesn’t kick in till you’re top 10%+. jobs pay a fraction of what they would elsewhere. why? systemic and why is no solution being offered?
