As we have seen with Israel, attack helicopters are effective and crucial for shooting down Iranian drones.
They would also be crucial in shooting down reconnaissance drones.
I do not understand why the West has not sent any to Ukraine
Old Soviet helicopters were sent by former Warsaw pact states Poland and Czech Republic. Germany sent a couple SAR Sea King helicopters. They also acquired a Blackhawk.
But yeah Viper, Apache, Tiger etc helicopters would have been nice.

I just meant the fact that they never thought of sending Western attack helicopters, even if only to be used as 'police in the skies'.
Logistics? Shortage of pilots and crew ? 🤷
