FWIW I know some people who think it is victim-blaming to criticize how anyone handles a government interrogation but I think it is important for people to understand that you are not only putting yourself at risk when you speak to LE. You are also potentially endangering your friends & comrades.

Hasan Piker spoke to government agents for nearly 2 hours. Should he have?
“Everybody thinks that knowing your rights is about being able to argue with the police about what your rights are … The way we are in solidarity with each other is making a collective agreement not to speak to police”

Good idea or no, it is absolutely required.
But only to the point you are required. Not more.
Especially if you’re not an Afrikaner
"I did this because I can because I'm rich and famous. nobody should talk to cops" -Hasan Piker, after being interrogated by police.
Having said that, the cops don't give a shit about the truth, and however smart you are, cops are well-trained to get you to say shit that fits their narrative. In short, STFU.
You published false information.
I don't recall and I need an attorney. I don't recall and I need an Attorney.
Do not talk to cops.
Do NOT talk to cops!
That's it. Just keep your mouth shut!
Turned out to be a massive thing where someone had paid to have me sought out to be targeted.
Are we going to abandon fighting back against violence committed against us?
Or do we cower and die?
They are deporting people who dont comply.
This is an active situation of duress and extreme targeting.
Would you rather he be deported by those insane nazis for not complying?
Theyre just making shit up to black bag people at this point.
Don't talk voluntarily with ANY LE. Ever. He was wrong to do so-he got damn lucky that he got away with 'arguing with them'. The next person who does that will be in El Salvador in the blink of an eye. Without notice or counsel.
* I don’t answer questions without counsel present
* I do not consent to a search
* I invoke my right to remain silent
But not talking will let your lawyer enlist the help of a court in throwing out stuff they got unconstitutionally, etc etc.
No. That’s not it. He said multiple times that he wanted to see what they would ask & how far they’d go & had privilege if things went sideways that the avg person didn’t.
Did you not bother to do any research for this article?
I've gotten away multiple times from searches with shit on me cuz of how I handled it
In that he was right and he did good work to create a narrative of being targeted and abuse of power.
I don’t hate that Hasan put himself in harms way to bring attention to it.
If we want to see how bad things are some people are going to have to stick their heads into these government bear traps. And I would rather it be Hasan than me
He said that he wanted to know if he was being stopped for a random screening or if he was being specifically targeted for his political views.
He did not answer any questions about other people and shut down the interview after a couple minutes. You are wrong.
