The underlying message from this is effectively "don't bother doing anything if you're not going to become a professional in it" - so presumably football lessons, acting lessons, ballet lessons etc etc all a waste of time - just stick them in front of the f***ing TV instead. Jeez.

I missed CBeebies when my son of too old to watch it, it was so joyful. He’s 17 now and we still watch television together. We finished watching The Day of the Jackal at the weekend. Which we all enjoyed immensely. I agree with Marina it’s good to watch things together.

Unlike Marina I, as a parent, liked the Teletubbies. My eldest (born in 2000) is visually impaired so having those strong and simple colours was, in our opinion, a great way of visual stimulation. An added bonus is that there's no language barrier.
