New York Times reporters taking Trump administration sources at their word and assuming their info is accurate—ie that Trump officials are neither lying nor mistaken—is a major error, and explains a lot.

Pretty clear admission that the NYT killed a story about the implausibility of the lab leak because editors believed bad-faith Trump Admin sources over actual scientists.

How it was dealt with is what mattered. The response killed a million people in the US. We are much weaker and divided because of the gross negligence.
Most high school newspapers have far more journalistic integrity than that fascist fishwrap.
