THATS another one. I watched the How to Train Your Dragons trilogy back to back several years ago, and they are so good. I look forward to that live action too even if it's doesnt hit as hard.
The live action remakes haven’t really done it for me. Aladdin and Mulan were decent enough despite Mulan not starting out “clumsy”. I think for me when they change everyone to fleshy actors but a lot of the main characters are CGI, it loses all the magic of the original animations.
Lion King fell pretty flat for me because I was just watching the original movie using 3D models instead of hand-drawn animations. Not like they could use real lions and hyenas, but it felt… unnecessary? They’ve all been “fine”, but nothing I’d watch 10 times or decades later like the originals.
Those Disney remakes hit for sure. I hope it breaks the curse of mediocre live action adaptations. Im pretty critical tho as someone who doesn’t get why people can’t just watch the animation.
I did really enjoy aladdin! I think it's def my fave of their live actions so far 😊 I really wanna see them do some of their stuff that didn't do as well tho like treasure planet or Atlantis!
The weirdest part about the remake is how they reused the marketing from the original where Stitch was invading other movies. But while those ones were fun and creative because the movies were so iconic and fun, now it feels boring and stale.
Hope the movie is good at least. Looks on the better end
I'm way too jaded for those now.
I loved Lilo& stitch and I'm not going to bother watching the remake.
There has been not a single remake that I can recall. That's actually been good.
It was one of my childhood favorites and it will remain so. I won't let the remakes sully it
The original Lilo & Stitch will always exist, untouched, as the special movie it was when we first saw it.
A remake can't erase that experience or the impact it had on you... maybe it won’t resonate the same way, but it might speak to a new generation in its own right.

I~ need it to be good....
But I'll still hope they appeal to their original fans
Yeah, stitch and dragon are two IPs that I adored and showed my kid who also adored them now
So here's hoping!
Tap into millennial and gen x nostalgia and introduce the IP to kids whose parents grew up loving the original. Double-dip profits.
Hope the movie is good at least. Looks on the better end
One of the hardest hitting quotes for me.

I'm excited!
