I dogsit and have noticed catching is breed specific, and there are 4 kinds of dogs: The ones that catch, the ones that try to catch, the ones that think they are supposed to wait until the ball bounces off their nose and rolls away to catch, and meh.
I didn't even train him to do it! He just started doing it about a year ago pushing his toys towards us, and we would eventually throw it. Maybe he trained us 😂 Corgis are too smart.

Our Pom will “fetch” but after a couple throws, he looks at us like, dude I just brought this back why do you keep getting rid of it???
