I was going door to door to support a school bond. Went to one house where "mom" said public schools were terrible. She sent her daughters to private schools. She knew public schools were bad because she had one "special needs" daughter who "had" to go our public schools.
Just made me sad.

In Arizona when the child in private school needs their 3-year reevaluation it’s a psychologist from the public school that does it. The public school is paying for the service

Did you know that they can except students with IEPs, take the state funds, kick that same student out and still keep the funds. The student then goes back to the public school with their IEP and no funding to support them. Republicans don’t care about public education.

Public schools have to take all the blueberries; even the bruised ones, old ones, not ripe yet ones. Private schools get to pick and choose. Inclusive atmosphere is not really their jam.

My stepson sent his kids to a private school with tuition of $33,000/yr. Public school expenditure/student is $7400. Even with vouchers, families owe $25,600. But, what’s to stop said school from raising tuition to $40k? Rich can still pay their 33k and public schools are robbed of the additional $

I grew up in a voucher state (AZ) that’s ranked one of the last in education. I went to private school and I know people who got kicked out of school due to disability/illness/mental health. It’s disgusting as every child deserves a top tier education no matter what.
