I've been not-so-secretly desiring (hopefully soon plotting) to make farcaster ID DID-compatible and then lobby to have it added as valid ATProto DID.
If anyone else is seriously interested in this, I'll organize the effort.

If I'm being totally honest, DIDs in general are a horrible anti-pattern, but that ship has sailed. Best to keep the list small.
That said, no other DID strikes as good a balance between self-custody, recoverability, and censorship resistance.

eh they're fine. gotta allow key rotation somehow so EOA is out, and contract methods are mostly too expensive
