Saying "Look, Bluesky is great if you just block everyone, follow these lists, and mute these keywords" is the same thing as saying that Linux works great on the desktop if you just install this specific version with these repos and modify these variables, it's not a good solution for normal people.

I cant think of a single social media format which does not require the equivalents to what that post described. Not saying that makes it right or wrong, just that... yeah, social media sucks? Saying that with a tone of insight doesn't make it more true of a given platform than any other
