The PSP was my BIG Rhythm And Fighting Game Machine!

Just sayin' btw, there's some rhythm games on PSP that are like, the same game but with a different song selection, like Project Diva 2nd and Extend, as well as the 3 different versions of im@s Shiny Festa, so I'd suggest merging those.

The PSP's Allegrex CPU is a hybrid of a MIPS I & MIPS II, the same family the PS1 and N64 originated from. This little factoid allows it to run PS1 code semi-natively whilst emulating the rest of the PS1 hardware, allowing it high compatibility and performance for the time.

The PSP also basically launched with no security until it was added post launch. This began the game of cat & mouse with hackers leading to CFW. The PSP's private keys were found on the PS3, allowing anyone to sign homebrew as legit PSP software and run it as if it was a full title.

Lastly, the PSP revolves around the Tachyon SOC: which is best described as a sanitized PS2 in terms of setup albeit not as powerful. This SOC exists in the PS Vita and only used for backwards compatibility. Some homebrew can tap into it for extra power.

My modern PC list will include Trails in the Sky 1, Second Chapter, and the 3rd as well as Zero and Azure since all were originally PC games and that's how I played them. My Vita list will Have Cold Steel 1 & 2 (the PC ports for CS 1&2 were buggy anyway). My PS4 list will have CS1, 2, 3, & 4.

It may be bigger than the votes indicate since a lot of people first played on PC and Trails in the Sky the 3rd took a long time to get here in any capacity officially. Sky the 3rd didn't even release on PSP in the west. It only released on Steam in 2017 which was 10 years after it released in Japan

Same with Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure. Those actually released on PSP first (unlike the Sky games which were made for Windows then ported to PSP). Japan got Zero in 2010, but we didn't get Zero until 2022. Japan got Azure in 2011, but we only got it 2 years ago...
