I think its a genuine problem that the number of people who consider this a problem being considerably smaller than the amount of people letting themselves be control is way more concerning than the technology at large. Because it feels like a losing battle now when everyone else is stupid.

This reminds me a guy I met in an airsoft group chat a while ago. He had asked ChatGPT for advice on how to counter thermal night vision and it told him to "cover your whole body in hand warmers." His whole defense was "Ai told me it would work!"

AI isnt just chatgpt and gemini, it can also be used to scan old books or documents to read them when they cant be opened, and analyze words in books. only recently did AI come to mean generative images and chatbots
