Is the Krasner race, for which the GOP struggled to find a candidate at all, really a useful data point? Not crazy for any Trumper including Musk to sit this one out. Me, I will assume he's not really gone from the scene till a coroner weighs in.

I think it is somewhat: Musk specifically last fall said he was going to spend against reform DAs, and he did spend quite heavily against Austin's DA last year in the Democratic primary. Going into 2025, it was certainly an expectation that he'd play in Philly's primary (as he tried in Austin).
