Today I checked out a book I'd reserved at the library, and I got the usual emailed notification from them, but this time it informed me that I "just saved $26" by checking it out instead of buying it. That's a pretty good idea for helping people appreciate the value of their public library!

You can order resources/books/CDs/DVDs fr anywhere in the province for free.

I used to be a waiter. Often, tables would get a discount like a BOGO, buy one get one free.
Too often, they’d then tip on the reduced value, not on the work done for services.
The checks always listed the pre-total and the total after discount.
Smart waiters circle the pre-total.
