Ironically these examples, while they appear to be beneficial, are similar to the money laundering abuses that appear to be fueling the bitcoin ecosystem. I’m going out to dinner now and not paying with bitcoin. Have a nice day.

That’s propaganda. 0.34% of Bitcoin transactions were illicit in 2023, ~$24.2B. Down from 0.42% in 2022. Compare to 2-5% of global GDP ($1.6-4T) laundered yearly in fiat.
