I just finished another watch of the series and while i remember how slow burn and moody it was, being an adult watching it you pick up on alot, like how the opening on tsukasa mirrors the ending in their real world (and then also the ending with sora and the hard reveal as to their irl too!)
There was so much to it that was moody, and muted, that after rewatching way later in life just set in, and hit so much harder, but i'm also stupid excited because I realize that it's about time for another watch.

we're gonna watch it together
and also how this really is just a metaphorical coming of age about a shut in who is afraid to open up due to abuse finds the strength to go out through their friends. Which is just quintessentially perfect for a story about an mmo too.
It hit in ways that I had no idea it hit me in back then, in a formative age I got to watch it on Adult Swim, when MMO's we're fertile ground still, and new, to me, and to most

Especially Tsukasa since he reminds me very VERY much of myself at a younger age>.<
