Jane hates Bill because Bill is a horrible brother/all-around shitweasel. I wanted there to be someone that Bill was scared of (besides Joe). Jane was an occultist and self-taught alchemist and was going to do mind control experiments on Ward to try to kill her brother. She hated the club, too.
