No, the argument rather is that "this thing doesn't have a 100% success rate ergo it's useless" doesn't seem a great argument in a field where pretty much everything is an approximation at various degrees.
it's useless because you can't trust the output. you have to verify it yourself, which means you can just do that yourself the first time and not use the slop machine.
the slop machines don't *know* things, or provide insight. stop being fooled.
imagine a calculator that gets the wrong answer, and calculator enthusiasts say "oh you can just check the answer yourself" with a straight goddamn face.
