It’s a stunt in the sense that it showed that even someone surrounded by the NYPD protection detail he has as a candidate, surrounded by photographers and journalists, can still be taken into custody with violence. Instructive.

There's a debate about if Lander getting arrested was a stunt? Of course it was a stunt, and it was a good one. He's got the race's best photo op, he raised awareness that they will arrest anyone without a warrant, and most importantly he put his body on the line to do good. Nothing wrong there.

Agree it’s very admirable. They have no authority to do this and it’s horrifying.
