1) We all should. But I can only give so much. I have several clients asking me for recommendations on where to donate based on the horrendous stripping of US funds, so we've looked for NGOs that provide similar services.

He's right - Musk's cuts also stopped TB & HIV treatment in adults & kids which will result in deaths & the development of drug resistant strains - some of which will be untreatable. These strains will make their way to the US & infect Americans. Stopping diseases overseas protects Americans

Gates believes helping the poor to be not only the right and moral thing to do, but also the strategic thing to do...When you provide adequate healthcare to the poorest individuals, you protect people everywhere. It's a sound investment.
