I had 2 offers $100k over asking in Maryland last summer. We took the one we liked better. All of the DMV real estate goes over asking.

Yeah, I don’t like the guy, but this article feels click bait. Houses go above ask all the time here, and at that price point… a lobbyist or lawyer is a highly likely buyer
