Looking at their block list, they blocked everyone who quoted the original post claiming it was misinformation/fearmongering

They also closed comments and dms and said *confidently* that "this isn't misinfo" even tho the terms literally say otherwise

and then just said "fuck yall"

My only issue with this is how it's worded on the actual twitch page. 'Streamers "should" earn more.'

That only applies if the total amount earned from the discounted subs exceeds the cost of the original sub prices. 🤹‍♀️ you need more people buying the subs

It's just kind of annoying on their part.

Totally valid, there's no actual science to it, especially because smaller streamers prolly don't have those opportunities to get a ton of gift subs to begin with.

But again these discounts are only during certain times and they at least give us a warning to prepare something fun for chat!

Yeah that's my takeaway as well, it really only affects and potentially hurts smaller streamers. I could see it being helpful for "big events" for a small streamer like a birthday, where you're more likely to maybe get like, 5 gift subs from somebody, and this way it'll make that cheaper for them.
