Lolololol imagine being so young and uninformed you think that the alt-right just popped into existence in 2010 because a millennial decided it should be so.

Yeah I’m 50 this year. Fact is, GamerGate & the Alt-Right happened on the millennial’s internet. I had a kid in 2001, went mostly offline til 2015, and - things had changed. If I gotta cop for other GenXs (I do) then youse gotta cop for yours
I'm Gen X and didn't forget that Neocons love to rebrand. Alt-Right is just the newest name on the same ideologies. Rush Limbaugh was before 2001. Project For A New American Century was before 2001.
Oh look yes the Ron paul libertarian shit was definitely us. But that was dweebs and olds. Marginal cranks. The millennial accelerationist and outwardly racist version was -not- what the 90s were about. Dog whistles, sure, always. Open race science b.s. - that was new
I will definitely agree there was an acceleration at that time. But it was definitely NOT a new thing; and I only stand on this point to remind everyone that they DO have a history and the key to defeating them is in knowing that history.
It has felt so conformist during the past maybe 15 years, like people have to adhere to what their generation is suppose to mean, when we could all be having a multigenerational hootinanny in the park.
but also the collapse of previous cultural distribution channels and the opening of all access to everything one way or another has pretty much nuked monoculture and subculture such that conformist and nonconformist lose meaning

4chan has always been 20% 35+ y.o. losers grooming 14-20 y.o. people on how to engage with the subcultures that they let ruin their lives.
The kids driving traffic are, largely, not the issue.
In 10-20 years all Millennials will be eviscerated constantly, mercilessly, for what the worst of them do. And so the cycle will continue.
No the fuck I didn't. I didn't get all of the same Gen X angst just to get seated at the kids table fuck that.
