Some years ago the UK Government did an audit to save money ( c. mid 90's IIRC ). It cost £225 million. It saved approx. £20 million.

It was never about the money. They wanted (and got) the data. They also wanted to dismantle agencies causing them problems.

Just let these dumb fucks think that they did something, because otherwise they’re just going to keep cutting and cutting until there’s nothing left!

I am sure DOGE has found billions of dollars in fraud and waste, but won’t report it because most is going to Republicans and Space-X.

That was the plan all along.
