My parents were small business owners when the China thing began. Before China the mark up was to look at the wholesale price and double it to get retail.
After China everything just spun out of control. When they retired the mark-up was 5x. My parents refused and died as they began with no money.

Tariff payments flow from payer > CBP > US Treasury. Am I to believe DJT let Elon access US government payment system and resisted the opportunity to dip into the revenue stream? Create chaos, fire the gate keepers, flood the zone with wild increases in revenue and make auditing impossible.

My hot take: the focus on tariffs by DJT was a grift from the start. Not just influence + pay to play for tariff relief but also a literal cut of the tariff revenue. Flood the tariff payment system and after (f)Elon/DOGE accessed the US payment system - direct a % of revenue to their accounts #audit
